Nema for Renewal preparation

Prepare the renewal conversation with the account history in view.

Bring the contract timeline and customer evidence into one review. Nema drafts the brief while the account team distinguishes observed facts from inferred risk.

An example in Slack Illustrative

@Nema, prepare a renewal brief from the contract summary, approved account notes, support records, and success plan. Verify dates, cite evidence, and separate observed issues from risk hypotheses.

Renewal brief

  • The supplied contract summary lists a December 15 renewal and 30-day notice.
  • Two success-plan milestones are complete; the third has no current evidence.
  • Support records show a repeated export issue that was resolved last month.
  • Lower August usage is an observation, not proof of renewal risk.

A starting point for your team's review.

Verify the renewal clock

Begin with the approved contract summary and the source for renewal, notice, and review dates. Ask Nema to show the date convention and flag any conflicting record. A renewal date entered in account notes should not silently override the signed term.

Identify the account owner and who may see commercial details. The working Slack channel needs an audience that matches the information in the brief.

Assemble outcome evidence

Supply the current success plan, agreed goals, approved usage exports, support history, and prior commitments. Nema can organize them around the customer's stated outcomes. Each claim should link to its record and period.

Usage can provide context, but it does not explain satisfaction by itself. A recent support issue may be serious, routine, or already resolved. The brief should state what happened and avoid assigning sentiment without evidence.

Separate risk from fact

Ask for two sections. Observations contain supported events, measures, and commitments. Hypotheses contain possible renewal risks or opportunities that the team still needs to test.

For example, a missed success-plan milestone is observable. The conclusion that the customer plans to leave is not. Nema can draft a question for the success manager rather than presenting that conclusion as known.

Prepare the account team's choices

The brief should surface missing proof, open commitments, stakeholders to involve, and decisions needed before the conversation. The account team decides the commercial approach, who contacts the customer, and what it may offer.

Review figures and customer-specific details in Slack. Correct outdated records before using the brief externally. Nema can produce a shorter conversation plan after the team has agreed on the facts.

Prepare well before notice

Start with an account whose review is approaching but not urgent. Confirm every contract date and inspect the evidence links. Ask the customer-success manager whether the output reveals a useful question. Once reliable, schedule preparation far enough ahead to investigate gaps.

Questions from success teams

Can Nema predict churn?

This workflow does not produce a churn prediction. It organizes observed account evidence and labels risk ideas that the team should verify.

What if contract dates disagree?

Show every source and ask the accountable commercial owner to confirm the controlling date before planning outreach.

Can the brief go to the customer?

Treat it as an internal draft. Create and review a customer-facing version that excludes private strategy and unsupported interpretation.
