Define a clean record
Give Nema the export, field definitions, stage rules, and the date it was captured. Specify which fields are required at each stage and how your team defines stale. A deal with no activity for fourteen days may need review in one motion and be normal in another.
Include exceptions the team already accepts, such as a long procurement period. Rules should reflect the actual sales process rather than a generic pipeline model.
Produce an exception queue
Ask Nema to show only records that need attention, grouped by owner and reason. Each entry should contain the opportunity identifier, current stage, relevant dates, missing or conflicting fields, and the rule that flagged it.
This makes the result easier to check than a rewritten pipeline summary. An owner can see whether the source row supports the exception and respond in the Slack thread.
Avoid false conclusions
A stale record is not necessarily a lost deal. A missing close date does not prove neglect. Nema should describe the data condition and ask the owner to confirm the business state.
Duplicate account names, mixed currencies, reopened opportunities, and date-format problems deserve their own flags. They may affect rollups even when each deal is valid.
Review before changing records
Revenue operations checks that the export and rules are current. Sales owners confirm the customer status and supply missing details. The team can then update its CRM through the approved process.
Keep the queue in a channel with the right audience. Deal values and account notes may not belong in a broad sales room. Nema should not write to CRM records unless exact access and change authority have been configured and verified separately.
Start with one segment
Export one region, team, or stage and run the rules against it. Manually inspect a sample of flagged and unflagged records. Adjust rules that create noise before scheduling a recurring review. The recurring output should always state the export time so owners know how fresh it is.
Questions from revenue teams
What makes an opportunity stale?
Your team defines the rule using stage, activity, and time. Nema applies that supplied definition and shows the reason for each flag.
Can Nema update the CRM?
Begin with an export and review queue. Any write access needs separate configuration, testing, and clear authorization.
Does a flag change the forecast?
No. It identifies a record for review. The opportunity owner and revenue operations decide the correct stage, amount, and forecast treatment.
