Nema for Consulting

Keep the engagement grounded in evidence and agreed scope.

Nema assembles research and delivery context into reviewable client-work briefs. Consultants retain responsibility for analysis, advice, recommendations, scope, and client commitments.

An example in Slack Illustrative

@Nema, prepare the steering update from the approved workplan, meeting notes, and status export. Show progress, client dependencies, scope questions, and decisions due.

Steering update draft

  • The discovery interviews are complete; the data validation work is five days behind.
  • Two recommendations depend on figures the client has not yet confirmed.
  • The engagement lead should resolve the new regional analysis request against scope.

A starting point for your team's review.

Prepare the team before client work

Consulting engagements combine proposals, signed scope, research, client data, working sessions, analyses, and steering decisions. Nema can bring the selected material into a Slack brief so the team begins from the same facts.

The engagement lead decides how to interpret the evidence, what advice to give, and what the team can commit to. Nema handles preparation and coordination around that judgment.

Build a source-linked research packet

Provide the research question, approved client documents, named public sources, internal methods, and the date the research should reflect. Nema can organize confirmed facts, source differences, assumptions, and open questions.

Every external claim should link to its source. Consultants review recency, authority, and relevance before using the packet in analysis. Nema should not turn a source summary into a client recommendation.

Prepare a workstream handoff

Using the workplan, meeting notes, deliverables, and dependencies, Nema can create a handoff with completed work, current assumptions, open analyses, client inputs, and next owners.

The receiving consultant confirms the state and asks for any missing files. This reduces repeated reconstruction when teams rotate without presenting an incomplete analysis as settled.

Draft the steering update

Give Nema the approved status export, milestone plan, decision log, risk register, and client dependencies. It can draft a steering packet that focuses on changes, choices, and upcoming client moments.

The engagement lead reviews scope, tone, and recommendations. Any forward-looking statement or proposed decision remains labeled until the client team confirms it.

Surface scope questions

When a new request arrives, Nema can compare it with the described deliverables, quote relevant passages, and prepare questions about timing, inputs, and impact. It can show the request beside the current plan without declaring a contractual conclusion.

The partner or engagement manager decides whether to absorb, defer, or change the scope. Nema helps make the conversation concrete.

Start with one steering cycle

Choose one engagement with a workplan, status export, research sources, and a new request. Ask Nema for the steering packet, then have the engagement lead review its citations, dependency owners, findings, and recommendations in Slack.

After a steering meeting, Nema can turn the agreed decisions into a reviewed recap with owners and dates. It can show which workstream each decision affects and which client input is still needed. The next packet then begins with the open commitments instead of repeating the full engagement history.

For multi-workstream programs, each workstream can keep its detailed records while a leadership channel receives only shared dependencies and decisions. This gives the program lead a useful view without mixing every analysis into one oversized summary.

Questions from consulting teams

Can Nema conduct research for an engagement?

It can gather and summarize approved internal material and cited web sources. Consultants validate the sources and own the analysis and advice.

Can Nema decide whether work is in scope?

No. It can quote the agreed record and frame the question. The engagement owner makes the scope decision.

How do we keep client data separate?

Use engagement-specific channels, sources, and access. Review every shared output for the intended client and audience.
