Nema vs Stilla

Decide how your AI teammate should share context.

Stilla brings a company AI teammate across Slack, Teams, meetings, and connected tools. Nema gives each Slack channel its own coworker and approval rules.

An example in Slack Illustrative

@Nema, turn this customer feedback thread into a sourced summary and a proposed issue for the product lead to review.

Feedback review

  • Five messages report the same export failure after the latest release.
  • Two requests conflict on whether archived records should appear.
  • The product lead needs to approve the proposed issue scope.

The short answer

Stilla and Nema are close alternatives for teams that want an AI coworker in Slack. Stilla presents one teammate with shared company context across Slack, Teams, meetings, and connected tools. Nema organizes the relationship around a separate coworker for each Slack channel, with its own instructions, memory, tools, and approvers.

Stilla announced on September 9, 2026 that it was joining Meta and said the agent platform would continue. It is separate from Meta Muse, the personal agent announced the previous day. Buyers should ask about current availability and the support roadmap rather than treating the acquisition as proof of either expansion or closure.

A feedback workflow

A product channel reviews a long customer feedback thread. The team wants a sourced summary, duplicate themes grouped together, missing context called out, and a proposed issue that a product lead can approve.

With Nema, the channel coworker can follow that team's definitions for severity, customer impact, and evidence. It reads the permitted thread and connected records, posts its summary where the team can correct it, and drafts an issue. If creating the issue is governed as a risky action, the named approver reviews it in the thread. A correction about how the team labels feedback can become channel guidance without changing how another channel works.

Stilla can also work in Slack threads, use connected tools, retain shared context, and present a change proposal for review. Its wider product includes meeting capture, a coding agent, and a sandboxed computer for tasks. That makes Stilla attractive when the same teammate should operate across meetings, Teams, code work, and Slack rather than being centered on one channel.

Choose Nema when

Choose Nema when context boundaries between teams are part of the desired design. A support channel and a product channel may need separate memories, triggers, app access, and approvers even when they discuss the same customer. Nema makes that channel configuration the starting point.

Nema also fits companies that want to choose or route among model providers and keep connected work tied to the requester's app access. Verify the exact connection and action in a trial. Access to a large connector catalog does not mean every app supports every read or write.

Choose Stilla when

Choose Stilla when the company wants one teammate across more apps. Stilla advertises Slack and Teams support, meeting notes, scheduled and event-based automation, a coding agent, per-task computers, and more than 3,000 tools. It publishes SOC 2 Type II status and enterprise controls such as SAML, SCIM, audit logs, retention, and granular sharing.

Stilla's Team plan has been advertised for organizations with up to 29 members, while Enterprise expands membership and controls. Check current pricing and terms directly because the Meta transaction may affect the offer.

Test context and authority

The decisive trial is not a generic question-answering demo. Connect the same sources, give both products the same customer thread, and ask for the same proposed write. Inspect which messages were available, how each product cites sources, whose identity reaches the destination app, and what the reviewer sees before approval.

Then correct one fact and repeat the task from another channel. This reveals whether memory is scoped as expected and whether people can understand why the result changed. Also compare tool logs and credit use for the completed task, rather than comparing nominal credits.
