Any MCP client with OAuth works. For a scheduled job with no one to sign in, a workspace admin creates an API key limited to chosen teamspaces, tables and metrics, and the job sends it in this header.

What happens when you sign in.

Sign inYour agent opens Atlas in a browser. You sign in and pick a workspace.
ApproveYou approve access for this agent. It gets its own grant and never sees your browser session.
Stay in syncEvery call checks your current access. Lose access to a page and your agent loses it on its next call.

[03] Tools

The tools your agent gets.

Admins can turn each tool on or off for every agent. Approvals also require your explicit consent.

Find and read pages, skills, tables, metrics, change requests and workflow guides.
execute_sql
Run read-only SQL on your warehouse. Needs access to every table.
propose
Batch related edits into a change request for a person to review.
comment
Add or reply to page comments, or resolve a thread.
audit
Manage authorized checks and remediate audit alerts.
approve
Approve one eligible change at a time. Requires your explicit consent.
